Then one day, while placing my Aldi order, I stumbled across Friendly Farms Low Sugar Greek Yogurt. My eyes lit up because I knew right away this could save me money if it tasted close enough.
Now I use it all the time for snacks and protein dessert bowls. I mix it with Ghost Protein, fruit, sugar-free pudding mix, or whatever toppings I’m craving. It helps me make a satisfying treat while still hitting my protein goals and keeping my grocery budget under control.
Aldi Ultra-Filtered 2% Milk
If you love Fairlife but not the price, Aldi’s Ultra-Filtered 2% Milk is one of my favorite budget-friendly swaps. As someone living with diabetes and raising a daughter with PCOS and insulin resistance, I appreciate having an option that’s higher in protein and lower in sugar than regular milk.

Brisket has always been one of my favorite comfort foods, but it can be expensive to buy regularly. Finding this fully cooked brisket at Aldi made it possible to enjoy one of my favorite meals without spending a fortune.
One of my favorite drive-thru treats is Arby’s, so as soon as I spotted this brisket, I already knew what I wanted to make.
I’m planning to recreate a lighter version of their Beef ‘n Cheddar by serving the brisket on my garlic butter onion hot dog bun or flatbread with sautéed onions, a light cheese sauce, and a little Arby’s sauce. It’s an easy way to satisfy a fast-food craving while keeping the meal much higher in protein and significantly lower in calories.

The DeMakes Brothers Jamaican Jerk Chicken Skewers are among the few rare convenience foods that actually deliver on flavor. They’re quick, packed with protein, and have just the right amount of jerk seasoning to keep things interesting.
I keep an eye out for them whenever they’re available because they’re an easy way to put together a satisfying high-protein meal without spending a ton of time in the kitchen. If you can’t find them, the Pollo Asado Chicken Skewers are a great substitute. I love to tear the meat off and break it up into a cup of Goodles with Laughing Cow, Guy Fieri Garlic Butter Seasoning, and Ultra Filtered Milk, a quick high-protein meal in between Physical Therapy or before I take Kiki to work.
