🍗💚 High-Protein Crack Chicken Crunch Bake

⭐ Kiki Rating: 10/10

This one was an instant keeper. What started as a way to use up leftover Costco rotisserie chicken and a partially used bag of Wilde Spicy Chicken & Queso Chips turned into one of our favorite high-protein comfort food recipes. The creamy chicken mixture, bacon, ranch seasoning, caramelized onions, melted cheese, and crunchy topping make every bite loaded with flavor.

💡 Serving Ideas

• Serve as a casserole for an easy high-protein dinner.
• Spoon over potato cakes for the ultimate comfort food meal.
• Serve warm with tortilla chips as a hearty protein-packed dip.
• Stuff into wraps for a quick lunch.
• Use as a topping for baked potatoes.

🚨 BaySnax Munchie Prevention Warning

Do not let the calories fool you. This recipe is deceptively filling. Between the protein-packed chicken, creamy blended base, bacon, and cheese, a little goes a long way. Start with a smaller portion than you think you need. You can always go back for more, but don’t be surprised if this recipe wins the battle against the late-night pantry raid.

High Protein Crack Chicken Spicy Queso Crunch Bake

High Protein Crack Chicken Spicy Queso Crunch Bake

Yield: 6
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes

This casserole contains chicken, bacon, ranch, cheese, queso Wilde chips, and absolutely zero self-control. Loaded with protein and topped with a buttery Spicy Queso crunch, it's the kind of comfort food that makes people ask for the recipe before they've finished their first serving—fair warning: "just a small scoop" is usually a lie.

              Ingredients

              • 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
              • 1 can diced chicken
              • 1 1/2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
              • 4 heaping tbsp cottage cheese
              • 3 heaping tbsp FAGE Greek yogurt
              • 3 tbsp whipped cream cheese
              • 3 tbsp light mayo
              • 1 packet Meal Boosters Cheese Protein
              • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
              • 1 large onion, caramelized
              • Green onions, chopped
              • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
              • 1½ cups crushed Wilde Spicy Queso Protein Chips
              • 1 tbsp light butter
              • 1 packet ranch seasoning
              • Guy Fieri Garlic butter seasoning
              • Kinders Caramelized Onion Butter seasoning
              • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
              • Cumin
              • About 4 tbsp olive oil (or slightly less) for caramelizing the onion

              Instructions

              1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
              2. Thinly slice the onion and caramelize it in the olive oil over medium-low heat until golden brown and soft. Do not drain the oil. The oil stays in the recipe. Set aside, reserving some of the onions for the potato cakes.
              3. Cook the bacon until crispy. Crumble the bacon and reserve the bacon grease. The bacon grease stays in the recipe.
              4. In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, FAGE Greek yogurt, whipped cream cheese, light mayo, Meal Boosters Cheese Protein, nutritional yeast, ranch seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, garlic butter seasoning, and butter seasoning. Blend until completely smooth.
              5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rotisserie chicken, canned chicken, 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, caramelized onions, the onion oil, and the reserved bacon grease.
              6. Pour the blended sauce over the chicken mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
              7. Transfer the mixture to a 9x9 baking dish and spread evenly.
              8. In a skillet, sauté the crushed Wilde Spicy Queso Protein Chips in 1 tbsp light butter until lightly toasted and fragrant.
              9. Sprinkle the toasted chip mixture evenly over the casserole.
              10. Top with the remaining ½ cup shredded Mexican cheese.
              11. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and the cheese is melted.
              12. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
              13. Serve hot and try not to eat half the pan while claiming you're "just checking the seasoning." 🤣🧀

              Notes

              Notes:

🤣 Fair warning: "just a taste" is usually how this recipe turns into dinner.

For extra flavor, do not discard the onion oil or bacon grease. Both are mixed back into the casserole and help create the rich, savory flavor that makes this dish so addictive.

Some of the caramelized onions are reserved for the potato cakes, but feel free to add more to the casserole if you're an onion lover.

For a lighter version, reduce the shredded cheese and replace part of it with Meal Boosters Cheese Protein.

As with most Andrea recipes, the cottage cheese and FAGE are blended until smooth first. Nobody needs surprise cottage cheese chunks in comfort food.

Craving a Philly cheesesteak but unwilling to donate your entire calorie budget to the cause? Same.
This rebellious little pizza showed up with melty cheese, garlicky white sauce, piled-high steak, and enough protein to make your gym bro nervous. It’s rich, crispy, messy, and dramatically more satisfying than pretending a plain salad is “just as good.” Spoiler alert: it never was. 🍕🔥

              Ingredients

              • 1 Golden Home® 7-Inch Protein Pizza Crusts
              • 6 oz Steak-umms
              • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
              • ¼ cup reduced-fat provolone
              • ¼ cup onions, sliced
              • ¼ cup green peppers, sliced
              • Handful of spinach
              • 2 tbsp light Alfredo sauce or white cheese sauce
              • 1 tsp garlic parmesan seasoning
              • 1 tbsp pesto
              • 25g unflavored protein powder
              • Optional: mushrooms, banana peppers, hot sauce drizzle

              Instructions

              1. Preheat the oven according to the cauliflower crust package directions.
              2. Mix the Alfredo sauce, pesto, garlic parmesan seasoning, and protein powder until smooth.
              3. Spread sauce over crust.
              4. Layer steak, onions, peppers, spinach, and cheeses.
              5. Bake until the crust is crispy and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
              6. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing so the cheese doesn’t perform a jailbreak.

              Notes

              BaySnax Notes 🖤

              • Add mushrooms for full cheesesteak energy.
              • Air fry leftover slices for elite crispiness.
              • Pairs beautifully with existential exhaustion and a Diet Coke.
